We've had youtube tv for about 6 months. About a month or two ago it has started to freeze video wise, but the audio keeps going. You can rewind or fast forward and see the video changing, and it will go to whatever video screen you stop on, but again, video just freezes, audio keeps going. It worked flawlessly for the first 4 months though.

Internet speed test shows 85-90 mbps and is what we have had since we signed up for YTTV.

Anyone else with this issue?

I found a youtube video of a guy show says to just change the video res to 360p or lower, and I did that and it works, but doesn't look so sharp on a 60" tv.

Surely this isn't a permanent suggestion from YTTV.

Sorry no suggestions, but have YTTV and no issues here. Same issue on tablets and phones? Other streaming services are OK?

Check the nerdery board. IIRC there was a similar thread about a month ago with some discussion.

I was having this problem the other day with YouTube TV on my firestick. I saw the same video and had to drop mine down to 480p... I figured either internet or YouTube was just having trouble keeping up with everyone quarantined and using bandwidth.

A day or so later I downloaded YouTube TV through my Samsung TVs OS and it worked completely fine. Tried the Xbox app and it also worked great. So, the issue was only with the FireTV app. Not internet speeds as I assumed.

Tried the FireTV app today and it was working fine again.

Try another platform if possible.

Interesting, this tv is using fire stick. Every other streaming device is fine, and everything else on this particular fire stick works fine (Netflix, prime, etc)

Not sure how else I can get yttv on this tv, an 8 year old vizio.

Yeah. Youtube TV is the only app ive had issues with on a firestick. I had lipsync issues with it as well. I was just about to try and upgrade to the Firetv Cube. I thought maybe the stick just doesn't always have enough processing power to handle YouTube TV. But the problem seems to have resolved itself for now.

oh dang I misspoke; I actually have a fire cube for this tv, not a stick. Sticks are on all other TVs, but we don't watch them enough To know if it freezes.
