26 years ago I was on a training mission at Fort Lewis in Washington State. Got back in to Seattle to catch a flight out and there were people in the airport all fixated on the tv's, many crying. Cobain had offed himself. That's how I will remember that date. Was a kind of Nirvana fan. Was friends with a guy that lived on the same street Cobain did in Aberdeen. Knew some of the same guys (Ben Shephard went to my high school but was a couple years older than me). Partied with some of the Soundgarden, Mother Lovebone, PJ guys, a couple of times.

Seems like a long time ago now.
