Wallander. The BBC version with Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hiddleston is excellent! I've heard the Swedish version is good too.

Broadchurch I think fits that genre.

If you like the old murder mystery shows like Columbo, Death in Paradise is a recent fun one

sometimes it's on prime and sometimes not. I told my parents about it and it was available on their prime but not mine. Britbox or a VPN showing you're in the UK would probably be the best bets
