Mickey Raphael from Willie's Family. 'If you're got the money honey, I've got the time' is my favorite example.

Can't leave Greg 'Fingers' Taylor, from The Coral Reefer Band, off this list. Maybe not virtuoso, but he fits into the songs so well and his overall contribution to balding, overweight, middle aged white dudes music has to be recognized.
