My best friend at A&M is from KC and his older brother was childhood friends with the lead singer. I met him at a party right around the time they hit it big.

This is a great example of how all the idiot writers and music fans got it wrong by linking awful bands like this, Creed, et al to Seattle bands, when they really were just making a modern and crappy version of 80s hair metal/party music. So much disrespect.

I think the point he's trying to make is that just like 80s rock became genetic and corporate, so did grunge. I could be wrong though.
