If you link Creed or Puddle of Muddle with "grunge" (cringe) music, you are ignorant.
I didn't link them. You seem to think they were. Outside of vocal comparisons of stapp and vedder, 2000s rock was always just hard rock... maybe Post grunge.... but that's not saying it's like grunge, just that it came after. It's all rock. Puddle of mud is no less linked to grunge then grunge is linked to classic rock.

It certainly wasn't a modern 80s party rock like YOU said.

My best friend at A&M is from KC and his older brother was childhood friends with the lead singer. I met him at a party right around the time they hit it big.

Really makes you think.

Says that poster that used the phrase "so much disrespect" when talking about grunge.

Greatness that the Sirius folks mistakenly released the entire session without editing this out. Their mistake have us this moment that will live forever.

Nirvana was a talented band. Some of their sounds are ok. I resent the fact that their success gave us the musical menstrual cramp that was grunge.

At least for me, I like Nirvana's music but dislike the outsized adulation heaped on Cobain. Although that really wasn't his fault, it was the music press. They've always confused misery for gravitas.

If it was because of nirvana that I was exposed to AIC, PJ and chris cornell, then I'm forever grateful.

But if not, then I can do without them. I like nevermind, solid album, but I'd rather have my Dirt and Ten and anything CC.

Gotcha. I didn't mean "you", specifically, but i was on a high horse, my bad.

I do view Seattle bands of that era like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam much closer to the great American and UK bands from the 60s and 70s compared to any of these more modern hard rock bands. Even Nirvana with all their overblown hype and lesser known ones like Screaming Trees and Candlebox made much more compelling music. STP had a great run as well and seem to get lumped in with the others. Nostalgia bias is probably a factor, but I think rock radio jumped off the cliff around the new millenium with a few exceptions. Even Linkin Park gets recognized as truly great which blows my mind.

So terrible, does this band have any self awareness?
The rest of the band seems to (look how some of them look at him when he "sings")
Yep. 1 Degree of separation.

Dig up any of the epic meltdowns from Trees in Dallas, College Station and one I personally saw - Hard Rock Hotel Pool in Vega$
