The Beautiful Ones is a great song. I was planning on watching this but I'm in OKC and we have severe storms/possible tornadoes approaching so our CBS channel is nothing but storm coverage right now.

Prince tributes usually fall flat but this has been amazing so far.

Recorded it to watch this weekend. Glad to hear it didn't suck.

Watched the re-broadcast. If there's any doubt to his greatness this special should eliminate it. Wrote, performed, played all instruments, and produced. A genius that will never be seen again. Started so many artists (Shelia E) and back up bands (The Revolution, Power Generation). Way ahead of his time musically and created so many female lead musicians and bands. Prince in 1984 musically and entertainment wise will probably never be duplicated. He was The Man. For all young people, YouTube 2007 Superbowl halftime performance by Prince.

Also caught this tonight. As Junkhead said, Beautiful Ones was great. Also, Susanna Hoffs is still so hot at 61. Good to see Wendy and Lisa and the rest of the Revolution on the last couple of songs.

I grew up on the Prince and the Revolution era. My sister was a massive fan when we were kids so those albums were always playing in our house..

Super bowl was great, no doubt. But my go-to Prince YouTube clip is him strolling out for the guitar solo on while my guitar gently weeps at the rock n roll HOF. Just Prince in a nutshell. On stage with absolute legends and they look like a middle school cover band compared to him. Dude who just knows he's the baddest MFer in the room.

There's a great jam at an SNL after party. Prince got up with the house band and they played an amazing, funky/bluesy version of Let's Go Crazy. Lots of drunk SNL people like Jimmy Fallon are on stage singing along. So ****ing cool.

And he gave us Apollonia purifying herself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

While I enjoyed the other artists cover the greatness of Prince, the highlight for me was watching Morris Day and the Time absolutely tear up the stage with their medley of songs.

Just a joy to watch.

No argument here. RRHOF demonstrated how great a guitar player Prince is. We will not see another like him in our lifetime.

Wow. Just watched this special. Purple Rain with the Revolution was incredible.
