The Punisher would be the perfect vehicle for an ongoing series. Forget the Netflix approach to having only one storyline spread out over a dozen episodes. Too boring. Each episode would be the Punisher hunting down another group of random criminals and killing them. No overarching villain....just a new batch of bad guys each episode.

A better one than the movie I'd say, which I realize is a bold statement.

Season 1 loosely follows the concept of the film, and season 2 might be my favorite ever single season of tv. Overally it's fantastic.

if there is any movie that should have been made into an HBO or Netflix show, it is Stephen King's IT. I know a lot of people liked the movies, but you can count me solidly among the "did not like" crowd. the book is a sprawling epic spread over centuries, if you include the interlude portions with the history of Derry. it is an absolutely phenomenal book that gets in your head. it could easily have been made into a series, maybe even two or three seasons. I think of a show like the first (and third, somewhat) season of True Detective - how dark and atmospheric it is...you can almost feel the town of Erath as a character in the story. Man, if they had done IT like that, it would have been SO much better.
