Enjoyed it. I think that was better than Funny People.

Good movie. Watched it with the family and would have seen it in the theater so saved money on tickets. Probably won't watch again but it fits in nice with Trainwreck and Crashing as 2nd/3rd tier Apatow

I thought it was really good

My wife and I just finished this. I've always thought SNL had a hard time figuring out how exactly to use Pete Davidson, but Judd Apatow nailed it. I can see him having a string of good movies over the next 7-8 years.

It was a little more straightforward than I expected (the trailer pretty much *is* the movie), but overall it's a solid, entertaining effort, one that definitely made me like/appreciate Pete Davidson more. It's not one of Apatow's funniest movies, but it wasn't trying to be either (it felt more like an indie than anything). Just an all-around enjoyable two hours that I think might actually play better at home than in the theater.

Plenty of huge actors have made careers playing slight variations on the same character.

Seth Rogen comes to mind.

It was fine. Probably won't see it again but was an enjoyable Sunday afternoon watch on the couch.

Bill Burr is greatness.

And Judd's daughter is growing up into quite the smokeshow

How is it compared to Big Time Adolescent?

Sorry to continue a thread derail but I joined the crashing bandwagon towards the end of the last season and thought it was a fantastic show. I loved the inside look of the comedian world.

This is a really great interview.

Very Mediocre and forgettable.

Wasn't familiar with this so I checked it out. That was great. I'd say I enjoyed both movies about equally, but BTA is definitely funnier imo.

I was so desperate for a going to the movies experience that I rented it even though I'm not a big fan of PD.

I liked it but would not recommend spending $20 to rent it. I would wait for Redbox prices.

Agreed $20 was too much. It was interesting but I don't think I will ever watch it again

Didn't hate it but really didn't care for it. I'm not a PD fan so I wasn't expecting to love it. But thought it would be better than what it was. I did love the mom and bill burr. But nothing much happened the whole movie, which is fine if there are a lot of laughs...but there weren't. Al the jokes seemed forced and weren't natural (and just weren't funny).

So it's not funny (if you want to categorize it as a comedy). And there's no drama (if you want to categorize it as a drama). It's a big bag of nothing for the most part, but it's done better than some other movies that are big bags of nothing.

Yep. And Marisa Tomei is a hate filled psycho. Hard pass on this one.
