All you really need to know about what a force Jerry Stiller was is to think about the fact that he was only in 25 or so of the 190 episodes of Seinfeld.

Yet, so many of his scenes or storylines are what people remember about the show.

He was comedy and acting greatness.

Big part of why Seinfeld and King of Queens are two of my favorite sitcoms ever.

RIP Jerry. Truly a great artists whose art will live on for people to enjoy well past your time here on earth.

He and late wife appeared on Ed Sullivan, Johnny Carson, Carol Burnett, Archie Bunker, a ton of variety shows etc, etc.
For those who didn't know, he and his late wife were the comedy duo Stiller & Meara. If you watched Archie Bunker, you'd recognize Meara.

26 out of 173, still a tiny number considering. If anyone can tell me who is in the most episodes beside the Big 4 - you either looked it up online or you are some kind of secret genius.

I knew 190 wasn't quite right, but is 173? Is this the number when you combine the one hour episodes that are split into two parts? I'm just curious.

Sadly, we have no way of knowing how many Seinfeld episodes there were.

I ran into him and Anne Meara a few times at a resort in Hawaii a number of years ago. He was EXACTLY like his characters in real life. I saw him at the front desk of the resort wearing a pair of flip flops and a robe and was giving the lady behind the desk the business. I was with the General Manager and she just laughed. "That's Jerry for you," she said.

The suite where I was staying had a glass wall in the shower that overlooked Hanalei Bay. It was a one way window. I was taking a shower looking out at the restaurant balcony and there are Anne and Jerry while I'm taking a shower. Was so Seinfeld.

A friend sent me this. A real nice little story about Jerry visiting the home where the Costanza household exteriors were shot.

Appears he had a great run in this life - personally and professionally.

As much as I loved Frank Costanza, I think I loved Arthur Spooner even more. Was a bonus to know that he was working with his wife ... and that he would dog her so badly on the show. Hysterical really.

For any of you that haven't seen the KoQ, it's Spooner makes it worth it.

RIP

Thought about him the other day when I had to use an Arthur head screw driver.

You had me sleeping on a pee stained couch?

Well the cushion was turned over.

Yeah, but the very idea, you had me lying in urine!
