Hangover
that was using the 4 categories of action, drama, sci-fi/fantasy and comedy as we had in the 90s poll.
So Hangover was the highest ranked comedy and #5 here, and I got the other 3 in the final four.

You should do a tournament of good movies that you have never seen or seen the least. For example, I have never seen any of the Godfather's, Bladerunner, many of the comedies, etc. Could be interesting to see the viewership of the good movies.

Probably one of the funniest 1st watch movie I've ever seen. On rewatches, it suffers from a big case of diminishing returns.

It is still probably the hardest I have heard a theater laugh, and everyone was still laughing and talking animatedly leaving the building.
It's not the movies fault a lot of people have beaten the jokes into the ground...and they made a big mistake with the 2nd movie (my opinion)
It also came at a time where most of the big comedies were some combo of will ferrell, owen and luke wilson, ben stiller, steve carrell, and seth rogen.
Galafanakis wasnt well known, bradley cooper was known as the dbag from wedding crashers, ed helms was the 4th or 5th lead on the office, and the world had yet to meet mr leslie chao. Throw in some really great faces in small doses , heather graham, rob riggle, the dad from AD whose name i cant remember and the off the wall bits like tyson and the tiger and it was a huge breath of fresh air. Having the dan band at the wedding was like the greatest icing on the cake for me and then the actual photos from the night out was the cherry on top

Weird considering Gladiator beat The Dark Knight in the other tournament.
