I think this might ultimately be a suicide. How many moms do you know who bring a young child to a lake and rent a boat by themselves?

This is her on Glee singing after her costar Cory Montieth died of a presumably accidental drug overdose in 2013.Urban Ag said:
First, never heard of this woman before I read this thread. Absolutely beautiful and I will assume quite talented although I don't think I have seen any of her work.
Second, 48 hour rule this one. Circumstances are indeed strange. It literally could be anything from murder to suicide to just terrible accidental death.
Regardless, horrible situation.

I know exactly that a pfd saves your life.

Having been in 2 shipwrecks, a capsizing and a sinking, I guarantee they do.
Which part.. the singing or the acting? Because that is clearly a voice over. You can't really have an unscripted break down while recording a song, and then have the same unscripted breakdown when you're filming the accompanying video.MuckRaker96 said:Urban Ag said:

The breakdown that comes with about 10 seconds left in the clip was unscripted.
Not saying you are wrong, because its a nice thought, but would they not record the song first normally?MuckRaker96 said:
They clearly filmed her singing it and she had a real breakdown while singing it on camera.
When they then did the real version of the song on the voice-over, they kept the breakdown in there and cut the song off to capture the real-life emotion that she had while remembering her friend.
this seems entirely backwards to me. Any music video is audio first then video. You can listen to audio over and over to work on matching your video performance to the audio. You can't do that backwards. And the 'breakdown' happened during her singing. It wasn't until just after her little cry that it seemed like it switched to actual audio of her video performance. The cry itself was off and sounded pretty recorded/didn't match video. I'm a musician/singer and have a decade of recording experience, so I have a little bit of background/knowledge of this.littlebitofhifi said:
I can't speak for Glee specifically but normally they'll film first then go to the studio after. This allows them to do all ADR at once and match the vocal performance to the video/edit, which is easier than having an actor try to match their visual performance to pre-recorded audio.
That makes sense.littlebitofhifi said:

My first thought when I saw the headling, was that she probably committed suicide, which is sad.MuckRaker96 said:
maybe we can put this discussion somewhere else. This thread is about the tragic loss of a talented young lady and her poor son left behind.
