Both look either meh or terrible, but I have a fantasy/sci fi itch. Anyone watched either?

I am about 3 episodes into Warrior Nun and it starts out with a bang, but gets pretty slow for most of the 1st and 2nd episode. 3rd seems better so far and I'm going to watch the rest of the series.

Hopefully it gets better?

I liked warrior nun but the entire middle was pretty boring. I thought it picked up at the end and I'm actually looking forward to season 2. But you could easily edit about five episodes in the middle into just one episode.

And I'll say it..... the lead actress is absolutely a knockout. I'm sure that had something to push me through the end.

The premise of nuns who hunts and kills demons is just too awesome not to mess up. I'm sure season 2 will be everything we (I?) want.

I thought the last several episodes of warrior nun were pretty good. The middle dragged a bit but the end was worth it.

As for cursed...couldn't much make it beyond the first episode. Does THAT one get better?

I'm on Episode 5 right now and I am contemplating fast-forwarding through bits until things pick up. It is really focusing on the leads emotions and not so much of the demon-killing. I'm not saying the emotional aspect isn't important, it just seems like they could have knocked that out in the first few episodes and gotten on to the demon killing.

Also, her reluctance to do anything is really starting to grate on me.

I watched Warrior Nun last week and agree with the others. Started decently enough, but dragged in the middle. I think the premise is really intriguing. But the execution of the plot and story was disappointing. And yes, the lead actress is quite attractive.

I'm 6 or 7 episodes in on Cursed and it's more of the same, i.e. WN. Plus it's also kind of campy, has some cheesy looking FX/CGI/Green Screen scenes. Another story that is intriguing and could be fantastic. I loved all things King Arthur as a kid so I'm willing to give this a shot. It is entertaining, but not a must see.

I watched both. Watchable but definitely not must see TV.

Cursed might be a little better, but the hotness factor of Warrior Nun's lead actress makes up for it.

Looks like the rumor is that Warrior Nun has been renewed for 2 more seasons. I will say I have no idea on the veracity of this websites info:

Finally finished episode 7 last night and it got a lot better. Could have skipped episodes 2-4 and just watched Ep 1 then 5-10, it seems.

Great cliffhanger for Season 2. I too thought it was pretty slow in some of the middle episodes, but I think it helped develop the character a bit and developed some of the relationships. I see potential for Season 2.

I'm watching Cursed, but am having trouble with this retelling of the story. It's really a completely different twist on the tale from the viewpoint of the watery tart. Other than the names of the principle characters, most everything seems re-imagined from Le Morte D'Arthur. It makes it hard to follow when you think you know the histories of Uther, Igraine, Merlin, Arthur, Morgana, etc, but it's a different story.

Just finished WN this evening and the last 3 episodes were pretty good.

My biggest problem is that I have no empathy for the lead character. The amount of emotional support she needs is astounding to me. That character was holy unlikeable for me.

Watched the first ep of Cursed last night and it's pretty forgettable. Feels like more of a SyFy show than anything else, not in any rush to continue.

Warrior Nun up next.

Agree with this. Felt like I had to survive a few episodes of character development. Episodes 2, 3, and 4 could have been told in maybe 1 episode. It starts to pick up in the last three episodes. And I really enjoyed the cliffhanger.

If they can continue with Season 2 without telling us all things a quadriplegic, and then dead girl "sacrified" to receive the halo over and over again, it could be pretty solid.

Couldnt stick with WN.

It was slow, and some parts were really dumb. The idea was neat...but it never went anywhere.

I just started ep 8 of Cursed. This show is utter garbage.

If it wasn't for covid there is no way I'd have watched this crap. Now I just want to see how it terribly it ends.

If you're looking for a King Arthur show to watch, watch Merlin. I believe it's on Amazon Prime right now. It's a fun Monster of the Week type show for the first part, but gets better and darker as it goes on with a overarching story line. It's a little bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I believe it's 4 or 5 seasons long.

First ep of Warrior Nun is far better than Cursed, I'm at least intrigued to see what happens. I'm in for a few more eps.

Still haven't finished Cursed ep 1

Unless the love story angle comes back into play, I don't even know why they dedicated 3.5 episodes to all of that. It seemed like they couldn't decide if they wanted to tell a story about her experiencing the world for the first time or being a Warrior Nun. They missed out on some great 80s style training montages!

writing is on the wall, lead gonna hook up with her training partner, training partner dies, lead hooks up with the dude again. CW writing at its finest.

I liked warrior nun, but agree the main character is meh. I try to justify it to myself that she sucks because she has basically been stuck inside her body her whole life and is therefor awkward, with weird quirks, and self centered. I think that is kind of what the show was trying to get across, but yeah definitely don't like her at all.

I feel like she neglected all her training and is still going to suddenly become some sort of bad ass next season.

It's on Netflix now.
Have been trying to get my 12 year old to watch it, but haven't had success.
