Two episodes in, and this has to be some of the weirdest sci-fi I've ever seen on television. I'm glad something like this can even exist, and I appreciate the effort and the world building, but I don't know if I can stick with it for another eight episodes. There's nothing specifically "wrong" with it that I can pinpoint, I'm just not really connecting with any of the characters or their plights, especially with half of them being androids. I don't know, overall, it simultaneously feels incredibly unique while also feeling like one of Ridley Scott's half-baked ideas he didn't get to use in an Alien movie. It's cool, but also a little second-rate. I may give it one more episode and then make a call as to whether to keep going or not when the new episodes drop on Thursday.

I watched the first episode last night. It's right up my alley. I love these weird kind of shows.

It's like sci-fi but the technology has evolved so far that its become almost Tolkien-like fantasy.

I dig it.

And the watching the girlfriends face is almost as entertaining as the show.

I watched season 1 and loved it. Off the wall and crazy but loved it.

Just finished episode 2. Wish I didn't have to get up with my kids in the morning for school so I could watch the 3rd Ep.

I love this show so far but it always feels weird loving something TCTTS doesn't care for.

Ha, if it makes you feel better, I watched the third episode and will likely finish the series. I'm still not loving it, and the actors/characters on the religious/arc side of things are unbelievably bland, especially the main guy, almost to the point of distraction, but overall the show has been unique enough to keep me engaged for the most part. At times it dips into SyFy-level quality, in terms of both story and effects, but at least it continues to succeed in being something I've never quite seen before on TV, which is a feat in and of itself, and makes it worth rooting for.

I'm loving it, too. When do we get new episodes?

Episodes 4 & 5 are up. All-new episodes of Raised by Wolves will premiere on Thursday mornings at 12:01 a.m. on HBO Max.

This series is SO Ridley; beautifully filmed.

I loved Mother's backstory.

Looks like we got 2 more episodes today. Very interesting how they are releasing these episodes.

Should I start with this, or Doom Patrol first?
I know Doom Patrol is a two season investment so far, but have never heard anything super positive out of it. And this is new, and not sure how good it is. Is this a one season show, or multiple seasons?

Raised by Wolves has been very good and I'd recommend it first if you are into hard sci-fi or whatever the terminology is. It's similar to Prometheus but hasn't become incredibly stupid yet with the character decisions. It's also a pretty short investment.

Doom Patrol is fun but not fantastic. It's basically a more edgy CW superhero show. It's better quality than those shows for sure, but there are very similar traits. And it's really, really weird. Like zany - how did they come up with this? - type of stuff. For example, there's a sentient street who also happens to be transgender or something along those lines. Dead serious...

The villain in season one is extremely entertaining though. He's like Dr. Manhattan meets Deadpool.

I had started Doom Patrol a few months ago when the kids were around. About 5 minutes into the first episode I figured that was not a good idea and turned it off until they were not around. Well... thank you coronavirus for not letting that happen

The main droid in this show is a Necromancer = death sorceress droid. Humans worship Sol and droids want to do humans different without religion

I've only seen four episodes sot far, but yeah, that's my exact impression.

It was a war between religious humans and atheist humans. Both sides had androids. One of the religious humans defected to the atheist cause, captured the necromancer and reprogramed her to raise a new atheist civilization.

The current leader of the human group on the planet, Marcus aka Caleb, is an atheist pretending to be one of the religious. Same with his wife.

I got the impression it was atheists (and their androids) vs. Sol worshippers (and their androids).

Episode 5 was amazing. Episode 6, lol, crazy ****ing scene.

Interesting show.

I was liking this show because it was interesting enough, and I'm a sucker for all things sci fi, but they seem to be laying down some decent backstory, and episodes 6 and 7 put it into "hooked" category for me. Good stuff.

Does anyone else have a hard time not seeing Ragnar Lothbrok in all of Fimmel's scenes?

About three episodes in now and I can't tell if I like it or not. I get the premise, but none of the characters are sympathetic at this point to me. It's difficult to totally buy in, but I'm trying to give it a shot.

In my opinion, it gets a lot more interesting, which I enjoy. I have no idea wtf is going on right now, but definitely don't regret watching. Just finished episode 9.

This show is fantastic, i love the backstory on mother, and really enjoying the inner struggle with the main guy

Some characters get a lot more sympathetic soon. Hang in there, it's worth it! (I don't think this is a spoiler)
