Surprised no thread on this as its kind of a big deal (to me at least lol).

Should be interesting. For the record, while I do believe this movie doesn't stand up to the first 2, I did think it got treated a lot more harshly than it deserved, and its not near as bad as some people make it out to be.

Unfortunately, this stupid cash grab won't fix the fact that the movie sucked because they were too cheap to pay Bobby Duvall to come back as Tom Hagen. It won't fix the terrible acting of Sofia Coppola. It won't fix the weak ass plot point of Santino's illegitimate kid being a major character.

That might be a good stand-alone thread. Actors (good and bad) who became notable directors.

Though I don't know that Sofia was ever serious about becoming an actress, she just got plugged into the role when my girl flaked out.

Man, Part 4 gets such a bad rap. It certainly has flaws, Sofia Coppola first among them, but it's not a bad movie. It's biggest problem is that it's third amongst two of the greatest films of all time.

I mean, it's not even close to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull bad. It's more like Temple of Doom.
