The finale I was so in my head processing it live that it didn't really sink it. I remember rewatching it the next day and being a blubbering mess.

So great. Might have to do another rewatch soon.
Fast forward to 42:40 for a blubbering mess (spoiler alert for anyone that has not seen Lost). That was partially me during the rewatch

I'd totally forgotten about that Hurley VW scene and it was such a fist pump moment after everyone has been telling him how useless he is.
Best part on the VW scene is everyone was upset earlier in the season about the "throwaway" episode when they found the van and spent most of the episode getting it running. Then a few episodes later we get to see the van in a backstory on how it got there, and then Hurley plows over the others at a pivotal moment.

Later it is involved in cool scenes with Hurley and Miles, like in "Some Like it Hoth"

I've been watching these reactors after every episode. Makes it so much more fun.

The second to last episode where they are all realizing who each other are, especially the reconnection or Sawyer and Juliet, I remember loosing it.

I think the second to last episode might have been better than the finale.

The Sawyer/Juliet scene happened in the finale. It was also the scene used to bluntly describe the loophole Jack used to kill the man in black, and adds a touch that Juliet was probably going between the Island and the flash sideways while passing away

Damn you for this. I'm rewatching Iron Man 3 and she just popped up and I burst out laughing because this comment is all I could think of.

The girl on the left seemed more authentic to me, she was reacting how a lot of us did when we watched it on the original showings. Youtube algorithms are strange, I had this recommended to me sometime in the summer as well

This is my favorite theme from the show, even ahead of "Life and Death".

Basically a cheat code to get me in the feels every time it's used. Giacchino is a damn genius!

Giachinno is a TOTAL genius. This is my favorite sample of his work... period. This song is beautiful and takes you on a soft emotional then island-y journey...

Then SKIP to 3:58 to hear the same soft note, shift each time it is played to sound more and more OMINOUS to creepy. PERFECT LOST!

How the heck are some of you able to recall details on the plot and specific episodes? I was a huge fan but It's been so many years....

Same. I remembered the Constant being great, and I remember rewatching just that episode a handful of years ago. Issue was, I couldn't remember the show's plot or what was even going on at that point, so it didn't have near the same effect.

I've found, like BES, that the early seasons are easier to recall for some reason. Later seasons are definitely not.

Great show. The episode I remember most was when Locke got caught in the door, and the back of the door had a hidden map. The internet was very much buzzing for the next week after that episode!

I was still watching at that point. Door thru his legs is my most clear and wincing memory of the show.

I can't put into words how much I love this show. I grew up with this show. I feel like a part of who I am is because of this show (sorry if that sounds mushy).

Doesn't matter how much time has passed since I last watched it or listened to the soundtrack, I'm instantly taken back and a wave of emotions hits me.

Damn guys... the feels....

Just watched The Candidate last night. (S6 E14, which ends with the deaths of Sun and Jin. An episode after they finally reunited, no less.)

Still hurts to watch.

Four episodes to go. I already know it's going to sucker punch me once again.

Well, I've just completed my rewatch.

Not ashamed to admit I cried no less than 10 times in the finale.

It sucks that people still use Lost as a punchline like the ending was horrible. So much better than the GoT finale and many others.

We just finished our own series re-watch. I actually really like the final season and the finale in particular. However, one episode I still don't understand and dread when it comes on is the third to last one showing Jacob and the Man In Black's back story. That should have been epic, and we were all looking forward to seeing what made Jacob's origin. Instead, it made him a weaker character, introduced more sympathy for MIB, and raised more confusion and questions which would never be answered.

They rebound in the final two episodes and pull out a very satisfying ending, but that episode is worse than Jack's Tattoos for me.

May have to give this a watch. Watched 3 seasons over Christmas break junior year at A&M and then watched the last few live. Hadn't watched it since until wife and I began it again recently (started season 2 today).

I think this was the first show I ever discussed with others online. I do wish some things had been more clear. Wife and I have been debating about it again, but thankfully a lot has been confirmed online by now.

I've never watched Lost. Is it worth watching? Serious question. . . All I know about it is a plane crash, some gilligan's type island stuff, and I guess a "smoke monster". Also heard the ending sucked which is why I never watched.

My top ranked tv shows of all time are:
Breaking Bad
The Sopranos
Better Call Saul
The Wire

I thought it was a lot of fun.

I liked the ending more than most. I was kind of out of left field in all honestly, which is why I think I a lot of people didn't like it, but it tied up enough for me.

Give it a watch.

One of my favorites series, and I loved the last episode. I get that it wasn't for everyone, but it was the perfect ending for me. Yeah it left a bunch of threads open, but that was kind of the show's MO for years (polar bear anyone?). But the cast got to live real life and the show at once with that final reunion and reminiscing on what they all went through together. And I wasn't confused or "lost" on the whole purgatory thing, which made it easier.
The funny thing on through the looking glass, I don't remember being that shocked? I didn't watch in its original run, after a few years G4 showed four episodes every Thursday night, and that's how I got through it. And I had seen somewhere that there was a season off the island, so maybe that's why it didn't shock me. Was still great though.
Maybe I'll go back and watch it all at some point, might be a fun exercise.
