Just started watching this last night & saw it was written for TV by Gillian Flynn. Been waiting for a new book by her but I guess this will do.

3 episodes in & my thoughts are: this is freaking weird but I can't stop watching.

Probably not. Loved that show, but nobody I know has ever even tried it. Still planning on checking this one out though whenever I get the chance. Good to see some positive reactions in this thread.

Crazy this was written and filmed roughly 10 years before the pandemic...has the newer version taken more liberties to closer coincide with covid (peruvian bat flu). I am not familiar with the bbc version.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. At the end of the day, that's what entertainment is supposed to be, right? Did you enjoy it? Once it got to the end I immediately wanted more. Looking forward to another season.

I'll echo the OP that I'm shocked this isn't getting more notice. Great show. Just binged the entire season in one day. I've really started to like the "weird" genre of shows and books. Any recommendations for shows with similar styles?

Apparently it was cancelled several months ago. Not really surprising since I didn't see any talk about it except here, and this thread isn't long. Disappointing though because we really liked it.
