Anyone on TA watch Supernatural? I've watched it since late 2006, so I consider myself an OG. Very sad to see it end after such a long time of never being more than a few episodes back.

The way last week's episode ended I feel like the finale really starts tomorrow.

Should have ended after the Christian armageddon.

Had no idea the show was still going. I saw 1 or 2 episodes in the first season. Seems like that was 20 years ago. Is it worth starting from the beginning?

way more than ready for it to end.

it has been ridiculous the last few years. I get they are a small show and have to save budget, but the multiple times per season when one of the mains leaves to go off by themselves (the last thing any of them should be doing) and is not in 3-4 episodes has been so overplayed it is ridiculous.

and while Cass has been a ***** for a long time, he is conveniently a ***** for plot extension more and more.

so it has overstayed its welcome, but at least good on it for making it 15 FULL seasons in the changing tv landscape.
Can't disagree. I thought it was great for the first 6-7 seasons but then they just started stretching it too much. I think they're ending it pretty well, though.

If you haven't watch the whole thing then yeah, I'd say it is. But it's a daunting undertaking. Tonight is the 326th episode. 40 minutes per episode means about 217 hours of footage. It's quite the binge to go on lol.

Yes, I watched the pilot episode several months ago because something like this is right up my alley. And then as I thought about how long this was going to take me I got cold feet. It has to be one of the longest running shows on tv outside of the Simpsons, right?

Also, that first episode is like watching a completely different era of America.

The first couple of seasons are worth watching by themselves just because they mostly deal with urban legends we know and tell. Even if you don't watch the other 13 seasons, you'll enjoy the first two.

And yes, I look at Sam and Dean like children if I look back that far

You're about to kick these two dudes to the curb when The Crown starts on Sunday.

Tonight was the real finale and I am so upset and pissed at the producers because I, and I'm sure MANY other fans, planned a watch party with friends for next week to celebrate the finale, and they sprung the real one on us tonight with no warning.

Get ready to learn to hate the producers, for those of you just starting the show.

Yeah but the Crown is only 10 hours over 2 days

This is going to be a couple of months commitment.

I am not even thru season 1 completely yet.
Just got caught up with other shows as well.

I remember when Arrow started and the commercials for Supernatural would come on, I'd think to myself "this is a show I would have watched had I known about it." Then I looked it up on imdb and realized how long it had been on and thought, "well I'll never watch it, now."

Funny so many of us are in the same boat. I started it in October and while I've enjoyed it because it's as close to X-Files as I've seen, there's just too much to catch up on for me to think I'll actually make it through the first season.

Been watching the show since start. Nice guilty pleasure, like Grimm was. Thought "ending" was fine. Interested what two hour "wrap-up" will cover.

This is a show that could have perfectly ended around season 5 I believe with the initial Lucifer/Michael storyline. It was really good and a great ending opportunity. After that it has just kind of been something to watch for fun.

Also, Dean is just awesome.

If he were about a foot taller I would love for him to play Harry Dresden. He would be perfect.

Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) is close to unwatchable now. This series has gone for so long that I don't know if I've grown tired of watching him or he's just grown tired of the character and is barely trying to act at this point.

I love this show but can barely watch after season 10. Because it just feels like they are just spinning their wheels. I love Dean but Sam is so boring.

For all my time investment, i have not yet started the final season at all.

That said, the first 5 seasons, the "Kripke years" are terrific tv, and you can watch those kind of as a standalone and it wont feel so daunting.

Dean has carried this show acting and emotionally since the beginning. Really hope he lands a nice gig after this.

He'll be in season 3 of the boys.

If nothing shakes out he can always test his chops in the soaps.

My wife and I binged the whole thing over the last 6 months or so. Agree that the greatness faded over time, but there were still some fun episodes in there.
