Compared to COPS, the police in Under Arrest make US cops look like commandos.

Driving drunk? You've got a choice: You can go to jail or we'll give you a ride home.

Got into a fight after the bars closed? Mutual combatants. Go home.

I told my wife we could move to Canada... wouldn't need a car. Need a ride home just start some ****... wait for someone to phone the police and when they arrive... they assess that no crime was committed... 'Do you need a ride home?"

Completely agree that MADD is a terrifying terrible organization.

American Police have a financial incentive to confiscate cash and assets and a financial incentive (use it or lose it funds) to become more and more militarized.
Neither of these things are beneficial for the average, law abiding US citizen.
