There has got to be a tasteful way to make a horror film about this weird year. Here is a take on Friday the 13th that could incorporate corona.

Here's the setup, make a film where the CDC has Jason's body locked up in a facility in the mountains of Colorado. They are using Jason's blood as a means to fight coronavirus. It turns out, Jason is the key to a vaccine! Unfortunately for the scientists involved, you can't just take Jason's blood for testing without him getting a little of yours as well.
One day, on Friday the 13th, Bill Gates comes to the lab to see the setup and unfortunately for him, he picks the wrong ****ing day. He meets face to face with Jason as he inevitably breaks free and hilarity ensues. Who wouldn't like Bill Gates getting beaten to death by Jason with a computer as it flashes the blue screen of death?

Before this occurs, we see that the CDC is using the vaccine on criminals brought to the facility. The only problem with the vaccine is that the test subjects become mini-Jasons themselves. Though not as strong, they just can't seem to fight the "kill-kill-kill-die-die-die" voice inside their heads as they slowly lose their mind... A little Jason army might be a neat touch and could have some ****ty spinoffs as well.

Anyway, might be fun! Let's hear some corona horror ideas!

You should check out "Host" on Shudder. Under 60 minutes, funny, legit scary in parts, and about as timely as can be (actually came out months ago).

I have seen Host. It was very good! Along the lines of Unfriended and the better Unfriended 2: Dark Web!

The vaccine mutates people into some kind of pangolin / humanoid creature.

How about a storyline where the virus is a starter for a Globalist plan to shut down the Worlds largest economies and install fear in mankind in order to bring a Globalist ReSet of Mankind to usher in a Biblical type Anti-Christ...

Oh wait...

have it be like The Happening, except instead of mother nature releasing toxic spores, it's loneliness and isolation of mandatory quarantining causing people to off themselves.

Then a vaccine gets introduced causing people to get tall and real skinny and makes their skin itch. They take their clothes off and start running around and people think they are aliens. Turns out normal water now kills these people.

You've basically just described the merged plots of Jason Goes To Hell and Jason X.

Add in a lot of Jason Lives over the top ridiculousness, throw in a little Corona, and baby you've got a stew goin'!

And what will Randy Marsh do to this pangolin?

But I agree no covid or quarantine movies. And I feel I dodged a bullet as I was looking to option The Cobra Event in September of last year.

oh it'll do terribly. No doubt, but it's not a fun horror movie. There has to be some sort of levity. Songbird focuses on what we all want to forget, our desperation and loneliness.

I think it would work better if it deals with the elephant in the room in a more, fun way. Have the main characters be college kids headed out to the wilderness, celebrating their freedom from having to go to class, only to be mauled by Jason as he escapes from the same facility geared towards finding the cure to save them. What sweet irony!

I am still waiting for the romantic comedy of a couple going through divorce and are now forced to live together due to the pandemic. Of course they find their spark and fall in love again. Throw in fights about how grandpa and grandma can't come to visit the kids
