One of my employees whom i frequently talk music with placed the latest cover of Time featuring Lennon on my desk today, and I was curious the relevance, but that explains it. Admittedly not the biggest Beatles fan, but inexplicably realize their importance and mark on modern music. the world sure would be a better place if he was never assassinated.

I started listening to the Beatles at 16 yrs old, mostly out of curiosity. Why did every band I loved site them as an influence? 34 years later and I'm still discovering new reasons why they deserve their Legendary status.

Long article I read about his assassin makes it seem like if he hadnt gotten Lennon that day he was planning on killing David Bowie live on stage at his concert the next night. Murderer had a front-row ticket for the show in NYC, as did John and Yoko.

If you are too young or don't know the story, the last ever photo taken of Lennon is him signing an album cover for Chapman - his killer - earlier in the day.

The first celebrity deaths I can remember were he and John Belushi. I knew who both were because my dad was a Beatles fan and listened to their music in the truck and both my parents watched SNL at that time.

I didn't know what to think before I started the movie. I was kind of expecting it to be super cheesy, but the promos did a pretty good job concealing some of the storylines, and I thought the movie was extremely well done. I don't much care for the Beatles, but the story of "Yesterday" was a great tribute and the production was top notch.
