Sometime during the mid to late 90s there was an animated Christmas movie on TV about Santa's elves (elf's?). One of the elves was a bit of a communist and was taking efforts to unionize the other elves based on his reading of Das Kapital. Anyone remember this movie? I can't find it on google.

I think you are trying to remember the one where the several elves named after colors are thrown together to pull off a job, but it goes badly. It's a pretty violent movie for Christmas so I wouldn't have the kids watch it.
It was called Reservoir Elves.

There was a madtv claymation one where like one santa has to go Rambo on an evil yeti snowman.

This movie was a legit Christmas special. I think it was probably on one of the big 3 at the time.
