I so want to see this.

Too bad Benny is too young for that much violence

But it will only be released in theaters. It's a bummer, but I do believe it will do record numbers on streaming services.

Why is that a bummer? I finally have an excuse to go back into a movie theater. I miss going to the movies, this looks like the first one that gets me back there.

Most people don't miss them in the least and it will show up in the theater vs vod numbers.

Most people, or you? I get how that can feel like 'most people' since you are a major portion of your own perception. There are a whole lot of folks I. The world, though.

Americans in their 20s average 1 movie theater visit every 2 months (6 trips per yr). Americans in their 60s go every 6 months on average (2.2 per yr). Those are 2017 averages. Putting aside your perceptions of my perceptions this is an activity most Americans do about as often as teeth cleaning.

Doesn't mean that the theatrical experience still won't be a viable business model or a fun outing/activity for those of us who still enjoy going to the theater.

I will never understand these posts that seem to be coyly rooting for the theatrical experience to die. It's like if I constantly went around touting Spotify over attending concerts. The in-person and digital can and will coexist. It won't be quite like it used to, and the dynamics are certainly shifting, but this need to pick a side and be "right" about this issue, as if only one platform can survive, is so odd to me.

If you don't miss going to the theaters, then you don't belong on this forum.

Saw it last night. It's pretty good. Very similar to John Wick in terms of feel.

Really good movie, a little more slapstick than John Wick, but very very entertaining

Movie was a ****ing blast. Excellent choreography and seeing Christoper Lloyd go to town with a shotgun was something I didn't know my soul needed during the pandemic

RZA and Doc Brown touring the nation A-Team-style fighting crime is the movie/TV series we really need.

Wife and I saw it opening night. Everyone in the theater loved it! Funny and entertaining along with the badass fight scenes.

Mix of 80s action movies, John Wick until the tempo changed, and even a little Home Alone/Boondock Saints action.

Loved it and hope they make a sequel to flesh out the backstory of Hutch, his brother and his dad.

I cracked up when the Russian guy threw a chair and hit one of his goons in the face with it. The claymore was also awesome.

I laughed so hard when that chair hit him in the face.

BTW, that actor is Daniel Bernhardt. He's been in John Wick, Atomic Blonde and was the Agent who fought Morpheus on the top of the 18 wheeler in the second Matrix movie.

He's awesome. Glad he got some actual dialogue in a movie for a change.

Loved this movie. Bob Odenkirk, Christopher Lloyd, and RZA is the buddy cop group I didn't know I needed.

He played the kickboxer in Barry, too! Probably the best episode of that series so far.

I wonder if he ever envisioned himself starring in an action movie when he was writing for SNL in the 80s.

John Wick / What Kevin Malone from Home Alone is up to now

It's pretty funny that this movie was created by Bob Odenkirk on the premise of he experienced a break in and trapped the people in his basement and the movie is what would have happened if he was a badass

I saw it this week in SA while I was there for work and I was surprised that there was about 30 people in the theater.

I've seen maybe 4 to 5 movies since Covid and this was the first one with more than 10 people in the room I'm a year.

Enjoyed it for what it was. Bob as a bad-a was pretty funny but I thought they did it as how an older man would handle that kind of physical violence at least the bus scene.

Saw it the other day and it wasn't hard to separate his character from Saul. It's much different. Decent action movie overall.

This movie is so badass. At a little over 90 mins it's a perfect action movie. The dark comedy, action, fight scenes and booby traps make it worth the watch. Bob Odenkirk is a awesome action star and deserves the credit. He owns the movie and does a great job. When he's he the basement giving a bit of his back story to an audience of dead or almost dead bad guys was very surprising and funny!

Just watched this tonight. Awesome movie and Bob Odenkirk is honestly one of my favorite actors right now. If you are on the fence about whether to give this a chance or not do it, you won't regret it.

I watched it with my sons two nights ago and we said the same thing: R rated Home Alone. But we loved it. Sets up for a sequel.
