They had only met once, like a couple years prior to her sending this tweet in December of last year. Then, once Mulaney was out of rehab in February, Munn and Mulaney started hanging out/dating. So she clearly had her eye on him in December, and then essentially pounced earlier this year.

Based on the Seth Meyers interview, I think Mulaney was already divorced/separated in the fall of 2020.

Yeah, I'm sure they were having trouble long before May of this year.

It's pretty clear the SM interview was orchestrated to lay the groundwork that Munn:
1. isn't a homewrecker and
2. that she wasn't part of the coke benders/rehab/relapse cycle that mulaney has been on since at least Halloween 2020,

which is understandable (whether true or not) if you're munn/mulaney.

Regardless, mulaney filed for divorce in May 2021 and the news story from that day has his wife telling page 6 "I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage." and that he had told her he wanted a divorce in Feb 2021.

The SM thing reminded me of 90s or 80s Hollywood - I can remember when if you knocked up a girl you had to put on a show and make everyone understand it was respectable (hell, Michael Jordan married a side piece named Juanita he knocked up). But in 2021 nobody would really care if Olivia Munn chose to have a kid as a single mom.

Did you ever watch his episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee? He and Jerry go shopping for a living room rug his wife told him to get. It was weird like that was the only way he could squeeze Jerry Seinfeld in. I couldn't tell how much of it was a joke, or how much of it was actually weird, coked up and stressed out. I might be nervous and weird around Jerry Seinfeld too.

In general though, it seems like people who talk that much about the drugs they used to do are usually still abusing. The special where he talked about his Georgetown graduation sounded like a therapy session except still kind of funny.

I don't remember the date, sorry, but its referenced (and briefly shown) in the SM appearance from Tuesday night.
(On the night in question) Mulaney was wearing an overcoat that Julien Casablanca of the Strokes had worn on SNL and then given to Mulaney after their show. Mulaney had briefly "joined" SM as a writer at this point, and would come out for random appearances from time to time. The one that was kind of "off the rails" he just starts talking about the royal family for 15 minutes with no real point, payoff, or punchline. At the time it seemed a little weird, but its a 1230am 4x per week Late Nite show so you expect some misses.

Ok, that's the show I found - wearing the trench coat, but the video only had his couch visit, not his stand up segment. I thought that portion at least looked like regular Mulaney, but maybe a little more sedated.

I'm not always a great judge of when people are drunk or high though.

Um. Yeah. I agree. He was high as a mf kite...eyes drooping...wearing a literal trench coat (that he borrowed from Julian from the Strokes, with red glasses...missing his lines and whiffing on jokes the entire 12 minutes.

In his admission interview, he said he did not "do drugs" during that interview, but he didnt claim to be sober. Trust me, he was pretty near blackout drunk. He even alluded to not remembering being there during his interview. Maybe that was a joke, but I dont think so.

Even though Seth said during the follow up interview that he thought that everything was fine and he didnt think anything was wrong: there was only about a month between when this interview happened and when his intervention and subsequent rehab stint occurred.

No Shame in the game, I loved the SM interview from a few days ago and hope he will be back full strength, but lets not pretend this wasnt a Crispin Glover-esque type interview. It's part of his redemption arc.

Same thing that happened to Megan Fox.

And oddly enough original Megan Fox and original Munn looked like each other before, and the afters look like each other too.

It's amazing that you can see the life flicker out her eyes.
