(and am now the guy people probably say is too old to be going to those shows)
I doubt it. This is a little off-topic, but it seems like the live music crowd has gotten older and smaller. A friend brought up that it seems like we're usually hanging out at places w/ people who are older than us. I noticed it's true, even though we go to the same kinds of places and see a lot of the same types of bands as we used to. I guess people in our age range are only interested in seeing the touring indie/Americana neckbeard of the week down at a hip sold out large venue, and look down at local jam bands with actual real-live professional musicians in them. And I'm talking pre-covid too; it's a topic that's come up with a lot of local musicians and fans in the last couple years.

One younger kid in a band was asking about what happened to the local scene, and all I could tell him is that he missed out on the 90's when a thousand or so of us would pack into a burned out old grocery store to watch a no-name band that somebody said was good.

David Schramm - Wings - 73

Been watching a few reruns just this week on Pluto. They have a Wings channel. One of the many nostalgic show specific channels they run.
