The best science fiction book ever written.
The Foundation trilogies says you're wrong.
The Foundation trilogies are not really 3 books so much as a threaded set of short stories and novellas.

And A Stranger in a Strange Land would like to grok with you.

Ringworld and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress would be vying for Mt Rushmore inclusion.

The Hyperion Cantos on line 1.
First Hyperion was amazing. Second one not so much. No idea if there were any more.

Reading Dune explains at least 4 user names on the Entertainment Board.

Renowned Bene Gesserit... Brian Earl Spilner

I've never known who Spilner was and then I happened to watch about five minutes of The Fast and Furious this last weekend and had a major aha moment!

Then I turned the channel. Still never seen any of the FF movies.

Dune is incredible. I've read all of the prequels and none of the sequels. I wonder how rare that is.

There are a third and fourth, but they aren't required reading if you didn't enjoy the first two much. They do a fun job of diving into more philosophical questions and further expanding the world building.

Hmm. Maybe I reread the first two & then read the second two. Like I said the first was amazing.
