NAD in a couple of days. Can't wait.

After my neck surgery, my arm strength ain't what it used to be so hauling around a nearly 70 lb Twin Reverb was getting old, so finally sold it. Have a Mesa Boogie Badlander 25 Combo on the way. Still 40 lbs, but not nearly as chonky to carry (although the tone is MUCH chonkier)

Will let you guys know what I think once I get it in. I'm keen on these Badlanders being designed to basically sound like a tighter / grittier Marshall JCM2000 than a death metal machine.

If six words could sum up my dad's life, those would be it. My most recent acquisition, courtesy of my quite generous dad. It's a 2002 J-100 Xtra - my first Gibson, first jumbo and first maple bodied guitar. Wasn't sure how I'd like the jumbo body, but have found it surprisingly comfortable. And the maple isn't nearly as "bright" as I thought it would be. I guess the jumbo body offsets/complements the maple tone well. I'm really liking it so far.
