The show stars Bryan Cranston as a New Orleans judge entangled with a mob family to try to protect his son. I am six episodes in and really enjoying it so far. It gets intense as an accident devolves into drama and scheming for self preservation.

I am not comparing this show to Cranston's Breaking Bad but there are some similarities between the 2 characters and you see shades of Walter White in the performance.

After watching and liking the first episode I looked at some reviews and was surpried the Rotten Tomatoes score was so low but other reviews are more kind. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

We're through 7 episodes. There are times where you say "nope, that would never happen", but still enjoyable. Like everything else he does, Cranston is believable. And Michael Stuhlbarg makes a really good villain.

I am with you, for a judge that knows police investigations he makes some really dumb moves that make you scratch your head. Any idea if this is an ongoing series or if it will be done at the conclusion of this season?

We've been loving this one. Definitely stretches credulity at times, but watching Cranston and Shulberg chew up every scene they're in is fun. Plus there's usually a "holy *****" moment or two in each episode.

Hasn't every show/movie ever done been filled with them?
