I have a nephew named Dylan. He is autistic and loves getting mail. The politics board has been awesome these last two years sending him letters, cards, gifts for his birthday.



He brought his toy cars to his sister's show for Christmas so he had something to play with when everything was done

He left them at the theatre. Huge tragedy

Everyone involved was trying to find Dylan's cars because these are his lifeline. These matter so much to him




My sister posted this on her facebook offering a reward just to get them back. He needed the car from "Cars" because it was his favorite



Disney reached out saying these were a lifeline for him and they will replace any car that was lost. And they will give any car or lego set he wants because he is why Disney is here

Yeah, The Mandalorian is not the only thing that is cool.

My kid had the Cars from the movie that you shake and they zoom around the track for 10 seconds it was lightning McQueen and the the enemy...they talk and everything...pretty cool toy.

We might still have them, if you want them I can send them wherever....although they might have been sold in a garage sale or donated to goodwill, I'd have to go dig around in the garage.

When my daughter was 4, we went to Disney World, and had 3 day tickets. 1st day, within an hour of getting to the park, she gets really sick. Vomiting, fever, all that. Disney refunded all 3 days of tickets for the 3 of us.

Not saying they don't care, but it's great marketing.
40 bucks or whatever in real cost for them,, and they not only have a family of fans for life, but how many people will eventually hear about it? Thousands of dollars in free advertising likely, and they look like a caring company.
Wish more companies understood that.

Dylan gets all his Lightning McQueen and Mater cars again

I had the opportunity in college to do the Disney College Program. My family are nuts, we have the timeshare, and it was really cool to get to work there, even though I was just doing merchandise at the all star resorts. It is stuff like this that made every day special working at the the World. At the end of the day, it was about the guests. That is really cool and that post must of blown up to get their attention.



I remember this stressed out mom was searching for a Princess Aurora doll on a horse we happened to have in the store that she couldn't find elsewhere. It was for her daughters birthday. We eventually filled out the form to get it shipped and I kept the box behind the counter before taking it in the back. Went to the other cast members and found a princess Aurora trading pin.

Now get this, there are classes and you have to be authorized to sign as a character. One of my managers wrote a happy birthday card to the girl as Aurora and we included it in the shipping box. I still wonder 12 years later how that little girl and mother would have reacted but it still makes me smile.

Back about 7 years ago, we took our then 5 year old daughters to Disney World for their birthday. Now, just to add context, I have triplet daughters, but sadly one of them died when she was two from a very rare disease, so while we were excited to be going, it was bitter sweet as we knew we were missing someone. Well, one of the cast members at Disney heard our story from the vacation planner and he decided to make our trip extra special. Some of the things he setup for us, at no extra cost or effort on our part:

• He setup a private, behind the scenes tour of The Living Seas at Epcot. We got to see the dolphins, talk to the trainers, had a tour guide show us around.
• Gave us additional, use anytime, anywhere fast passes (3 per day for each of us)
• You know the parade they do during the day on Main St at the Magic Kingdom? The one where all the floats come out and they have a dance party. Well we got a private meet and great will all the cast members and characters before the show.
• He had a Disney photographer to follow us around for several hours and capture tons of pictures
• We got to skip the line and spend an extended time with Mickey (the one they used to have that could talk and you could interact with)
• He had pictures from our adventures, stuffed animals and candy treats delivered to our room
• He provided us VIP access for the Main Street Electrical Parade
• He even went and got the whole family ponchos when it started to rain. Which, if you've even bought ponchos at Disney World, you know it probably saved me $1,000

There were several other things that happened while we were there that just put this whole vacation over the top and I'm not ashamed to say it was the best vacation we've ever taken. And while I may have my disagreements with the corporate behemoth that is Disney, their cast members and front-line workers really embody the Disney Magic.
