She played Ruth Popper better than I imagined the character reading the book. Hopefully that's not a slight against McMurtry (or my imagination), but that last scene where she goes off on Sonny, damn.

She played Granny absolutely PERFECTLY in the Beverly Hillbillies movie in the 90's.

So damn talented. Kind of a sneaky hottie in her day too.
Hard to sad when someone lives to 94 though. Gonna miss her.
