Is this new series trying to be like Justified?

It's not like the Walker I grew up watching. No roundhouse kicks going on. I will continue to watch this season, but now it just makes me want to go watch all of Justified if I can find it.

I was thinking it would be just another dumb remake but your comparisons to Justified have piqued my interest.

Is the show actually good?

So far, it is NOT good. Lots of horrible dialog in this one. I pretty much despise all of the characters, even the "loveable" mother, Abby. This one is about to be dropped in my house. Trying to give it time to find its legs, but I don't know how much more I can take it.
