I was about to drop $500 on those '85 Breds, and as I am getting ready to hit the buy button I think, "If you're going to actually spend that much cash, why don't you buy a pair of Travis Scott's that you want?"

With how often they're rep'd and how good the reps have gotten, there's no way I'd spend way above retail on TS shoes

Trip was amazing. It was our annual sales kickoff in Dublin, and if someone else wants to pay me to go, it makes it even better.
Had 2 days before it started to wonder around, take in the sights, and hit a few distilleries. Then on Friday they had a "red storm" which cancelled my flight home. This added a day to my trip and a few of my coworkers and I did an impromptu pub crawl before catching flights on Saturday morning. I thought the city was great, but want to go back and explore outside of the city.

Saw several of these in multiple shoes stores in the mall on Saturday. Fairly hideous looking in person

Starting to see the hype for AJ4 SB Navy. I can't decide if I'm in or not. Is it the hype due to the love fest for the previous pine green or are SB 4s legitimately that good?

I didn't get the blue AJ4's last year so I'm in. If you had gone for those it seems like an easy pass since they're pretty similar.
These 4's are super clean.
Galaxy Foamposites anyone? Do I need to chase a pair at drop for anyone today?
Pretty sure there isn't anything "SB" about these 4s, other than the branding and maybe the gum sole is a little grippier. There isn't extra padding, there isn't a thicker tongue, etc. The pine greens were a clean colorway and I think that's why the hype went bonkers

What are y'alls favorite websites to shop from outside of StockX and the manufacturer websites?
For secondary, I like SNKRDUNK and POIZON. StockX is my last resort when it comes to secondary.
As for regular shoe store, whoever has the shoe I want at the cheapest price is going to get my money. I use Foot Locker mostly because I've racked up a lot of points there.

Some weird niche interest in a unique shoe tech. When this exact colorway initially dropped in the 2010s there was chaos that was all over the news. I remember when they first dropped in the 90s and thought they were the ugliest things but apparently they are super comfy and mold your feet.

I wouldn't call it a niche interest, they're fairly well regarded in the sneaker community. I believe it was the first shoe that had a fully molded upper, and it launched much more expensive than any nike on the market. Gained a lot of popularity with Penny wearing them and then a bunch of kids in the NCAA tournament (like Mike Bibby). I know they are the shoe in the DMV.aTm_bomb said:
