I loved Arm Chair Expert with Dax Shepard. He has some good stuff and guests.

SmartLess is really good. It has Jason Bateman, Will Arnet, and Sean Hayes. One of them books a guest and the others don't know who it is.

Malcolm Gladwell's podcast is great, Revisionists History. Might be a little liberal for Texags people.

I really dig The Office Ladies podcast. Sometimes too feminine, but Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey go episode by episode.

If you like Audiobooks, Scott Sigler's podcast novels are the bomb. Definitely worth the listen.

Dr. Death is really freaky if you haven't listened.

Dirty John is good.

So many good podcasts and really not enough time.

No Agenda with Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak is an excellent politics podcast that's more about illustrating how the media does its manipulation rather than telling you how to think about the news of the day.

Fake Doctors Real Friends is the masculine(ish) version of the Office Ladies (which is pretty good) but is Donald Faison and Zach Braff rewatching Scrubs rather than The Office.

Planet Money has stopped being good since Chinese money has gotten involved, but the early years (starting from the 2008 crisis) had excellent discussion of economics issues.

Just picked up behind the *******s for historical stuff evil men. Exited to start.

Dan Carlin's hardcore history if you are hardcore. 4 hour plus episodes of really interesting history from history professor. WWI was like 10 episodes that was amazing.

How I built this was great for a time with famous entrepreneurs...but it ran out of steam a few years ago. 30 for 30 has some good stuff as well as crap. Solid verbal for college football. Freakanomics. I do like revolutionist history.

Second the recommendation of Hardcore History, with the caveat that he's not a history professor (he calls himself a "fan of history"). He's a former reporter and a political commentator.

Third recommendation for Hardcore History - though the older stuff you have to pay for. (I recommend Blueprint for Armageddon on WWI and Wrath of the Khans on the mongols)

History of Rome is great

Season 9 of Revolutions is a fantastic telling of the Mexican Revolution.

And if you're into presidential history, you might like my podcast: [Abridged] Presidential Histories. It explores the triumphs, setbacks and scandals of each president, in order, each in 60 minutes or less.
Thanks and gig'em

So just had to look at Blockbuster. Then of course my recommended podcast was Business Wars and Behind the 90s. Pre-Covid, I was in the car a ton for business. How in the world will I get through all this????

I recently started listening to Against All Odds.

This season (?) 4 episodes are about the Wild Boars soccer team that was trapped in the Tham Luang cave in Thailand after the monsoon season started early when they were in the cave exploring after practice one day.

It happened a few years ago and you likely remember it.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

Another vote for Hardcore History. Others I enjoy:

Conan O'Brien needs a friend - stick to non-political guests. though.
Stuff you should Know - quick dives into a number of informational topics.
How did this get made - comedians ripping questionable movies.
Talk is Jericho - pro wrestler covering some wrestling, rock, and a variety of odd topics with guests.

Rob Lowe's podcast "Literally" is usually pretty funny and interesting, because he has such a long history in entertainment and his guests are often his buddies.

Sports Wars
Smash Boom Best - fun for whole family
Serial - not family friendly
American Revolution Podcast - going through this now as a history fan; hundreds of episodes so you'd have to want to do it well after your trip

Did not like it at all. I guess it was a letdown after how good seasons 1 and 2 of Serial were.

If you don't know anything about it Up and Vanished is good (just the original Tara Grinsted case; the rest of Up and Vanished is meh).

Mike Rowe - The Way I Heard It. The first couple years were quick stories, 10 minutes or so. Format has changed recently.

Business Wars has some good ones. Coke vs. Pepsi, Ford vs. Chevy, etc.

Conan Obrien needs a friend. His episode with David letterman is 90 minutes and fascinating.

If you love the office, listen to the oral history of the office with the guy who played Kevin. It is about 10 hours long and has interviews with everyone from the show

I have a few I enjoy. Some are political and Christian which is probably beyond the scope of this board but just ignore if you don't like that.

Joe Rogan - I don't listen to every interview, just the people I find interesting. The format is fantastic
Freakonomics Radio - Have always found these guys interesting
Jocko Podcast - Leadership, self-help kind of stuff. A bit long-winded
The Briefing - Al Mohler - Daily events from a Christian worldview
The Christian History Podcast - Very detailed walk through Christian history, it's dry but I like it
Knowing Faith - Weekly bible study that centers around different topics each quarter
Ben Shapiro - He's my favorite political commentator
Mike Rowe - The Way I heard it - Short, fun, inspiring
