Bizarre. I actually liked AC and thought he was pretty good at it.
He never did stop the constant pauses after people would get the correct answer. I earnestly think it's because like wolf blitzer, cooper had no idea what the actual answer was and kept looking to the judges for confirmation. I would still put him above Katie "Souless" Couric and Frank "mein fuhrer" Oz but dude was just lost out there. Seriously, why the constant pauses?!

I thought Cooper was fine, but this drove me absolutely bonkers. Even obvious answers had two second pauses before he confirmed they were correct. You could tell the contestants were thrown off by it too.

This guy really sucks. He's down there probably between Dr Oz and Katie Couric. His voice is smooth but so lifeless and dull. Doesn't have any charm or schtick.... feels like he's hosting a high school trivia bowl not a tv show
Whitaker is fine; he doesn't distract from the trivia. I'd never seen or heard of him until yesterday. When I heard his name, I kept thinking of either Bill Withers or Forest Whitaker.
There's something slightly off-putting about Anderson Cooper that I can't quite put my finger on - maybe it's that his meticulous makeup and perfectly coiffed hair make his overall appearance edge toward the uncanny valley.

Whitaker did a great job on his first ever jeopardy. (Hes from 60 minutes) very cool and measured. I think his relaxed, confident approach eased the strain on contestants. He did have a bit of a sibilant sound while he spoke and I noticed a but of a lisp, but still, he did fine.
I was expecting a bit more than what I got from Bill. He's basically human cardboard. He has about as much life as a Chuck E. Cheese animatronic rat. He's a damn robot. He has the personality of a box of hair. No thank you on this new guest host.
Just retire, Rodgers, and come host Jeopardy!

So tonight I knew a daily double question. I learned it from a fictional tv teacher, Mr Hand and Fast times at ridgemont high.

Buzzy Cohen has been a great choice for the tournament and has done incredibly well so far. He's got just the right amount of energy. His pacing may be a touch fast, but seems to be perfect for the contestants and keeps the game moving. He might actually be my (surprise) favorite so far.
I woulda swept both the Stephen King and 20th century TV categories. And more than half of the other categories.
But yeah I like Buzzy.

I can not stand Mayim Bialik. She laughs almost every time she provides the answer and there's never anything funny.
