worth starting?

4 episodes in. Good but tough watch

I started a thread a couple weeks ago but it didn't gain much traction. I've seen the first 3 and love it. Very gritty but very entertaining. Need to watch the new one.

Just finished episode 5. No not an easy watch, but some things shouldn't be. Great show.

Well, the dad is a dick for ever doubting his daughter.

And when I think of someone doing that to my 10 year old stepdaughter, I think how there would actually be 3 tragedies...her rape, the death of her rapist at either my husband's or my hands, and the subsequent incarceration of either myself or my husband. How any parent can keep from immediately hunting down the boy who did it and beating him to an absolute pulp, I will never understand. Im not giving the justice system a chance to screw it up and let him walk free.

The reality is that your daughter would most likely never tell you.

Hopefully he/she raised their daughter to tell them immediately. That way, the perp will be thrown in jail and unable to victimize any more.

The reality is that I'm raising a daughter that, God forbid something like that ever happens and she does tell me, I 100% will believe her and I would have absolutely no reason to doubt her. She might make bad decisions (haven't we all as teens?), but I know when it comes to something of that magnitude she wouldn't make that up. (Also, she's a horrible liar anyway.)

The book is the best book I've ever read and he's my favorite author. A Man Called Ove is a classic as well.

Just finished this. Really powerful stuff. Didn't think I'd like it being all subtitles but I didn't mind. Forced me to pay attention and not look at my phone. Teared up at the end there...

How many episodes total? I haven't seemed to be able to find it on hbo after episode 4. Which is weird bc it was very easy to find episodes 1-4. Seemed like they were on every night so it was easy to record them.

Guess I may have to see if it's on HBO Max.
