I have to admit when I saw this name mentioned in a news scroll as having just passed, I did not know who he was. But dang he had some good roles in good movies.

He would have taken Lando in an entirely different direction. While Yaphet is a badass, i think the role of Lando as a charming jackass was pure Billy Dee.

Think I saw also that he was in the running for the role of Jean-Luc Picard that ultimately went to Patrick Stewart.
