Is there some series you find yourself watching over and over again?

For me, it's - of all things - Star Trek Deep Space Nine.

I'm in the middle of watching it again for like the 4th or 5th time. When doing this, you can skip around certain episodes 'cause it's not like you're missing something. I'd forgotten how good the writing got as the show proceeded. How, as opposed to other Star Treks, it's not all "gee the future is Utopia" but instead is darker and grittier, with plenty of crime, graft, and all things human.

Love (on Netflix) - have seen it all the way through probably five times.

True Detective S1 - four times all the way through.

The Office and Parks & Rec - two times each all the way through, though certain episodes I've seen over and over and over again.

Each of these series are basically comfort food to me that I can never ever get enough of.

Other than the network shows I've seen over and over on re-runs my number one is Arrested Development, followed by Band of Brothers. Since COVID I've primarily been rewatching several of my favorite comedies.

I need to do a rewatch on Silicon Valley from the beginning as well as Love.

The Wire - watched it all the way through 3 times.
Band of Brothers - 3 times as well, it's an easy one being a limited series.
The Pacific - 2 times

I loved Fargo season 2, so that will probably be my next rewatch. I did a partial rewatch of True Detective season 1, but I didn't make it to the end.

We would watch the Office and Parks and Rec, but I'm not the biggest fan of the new Peacock platform so we don't watch it as much.

I've never watched a show all the way through a second time on purpose. The only series I've even thought about doing that with is Arrested Development for the sheer joy of it and to catch all of the little jokes that happen along the way that are tied back to something happening from many episodes prior. Genius show.

I have seen multiple seasons of Top Chef more than once but only through osmosis via my wife. That is her default zone out show, so if I'm in the room I will watch it with her but only out of boredom.

The Office
Seinfeld
King of Queens
Frasier (I love Cheers too, but I think Frasier has a way better rewatchability factor)

In dramas:

NYPD Blue is king of the rewatchability factor for me.

A couple times a year, I will watch Arrested Development from beginning to end (of the regular series).

I watch Parks and Rec anytime I see it on TV.

Since I discovered it in the summer of '91, I have watched every episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 multiple times to this very day. Most episodes I've watched dozens of times.

When I was at A&M, the only reason I would get up before noon on Saturday was to watch MST3000 on Sci-Fi.

I can't watch a lot of Joel eps bc he makes me sleepy. The first seasons I watched (8-10) were Mike and Bill seasons, so I think that has a lot to do with it.

What did someone like you (longtime fan before Bill's arrival) think of Bill? Had to be jarring...

I guess it was more that there is a pay option that still has commercials. We have Hulu, Disney+, and Netflix already. I would have been okay adding Peacock's lowest tier pay subscription, but when we did the 7 day trial there was still ads. That was the biggest hangup for us.

I circle through sitcoms while I eat or just want something to have on TV. I even suffer through the down seasons of most of them... sometimes.

I can't really rewatch my favorite TV dramas. I have too many other hobbies I want to spend time doing, and dramas are ones I need to focus on to enjoy. Sitcoms allow me to turn off my brain and just enjoy and have some background noise.
