Finally caught up. First animated series I've watched in maybe 20 years? At least? Glad I decided to check it out, though, based on all the buzz I kept seeing. As said above, the animation isn't great, and the dialogue's a little stilted/cheesy at times, but damn it this show is so incredibly addicting. Just a great hook that they're milking for all its worth, in some really fun and harrowing ways. It's like a literal early-'90s Saturday morning kids cartoon, but with a hard-R twist, which is part of the charm, I guess, and it just works so well.

Two more episodes, right? And I assume this will go for multiple seasons?

I am very curious how the wife is going to handle this news and how Omni man is going to handle her handling the news.

My gripe from this episode was that Invincible was getting beat up a little too easily by those guys who had just been created. Maybe he was still recovering though.

also the overly-gay stuff is eye roll worthy for me. very forced.

I'm not sure if it's because he has to get stronger or if it's because he is half human, but from what they have shown so far his dad would destroy him completely.

He was definitely strangely getting his ass beat by robots which was surprising to me. Either that technology is insane which they kind of hinted at with Cecils comments or he isn't very strong. This is also coming off of almost being beaten to death. He just hasn't really had much in terms of impressive feats of strength.

Then you see Omniman fly through an alien portal and just absolutely obliterate an alien civilization back to the stone ages....

This episode was good. This might just be a personal nitpick, but I feel like the animation quality is really holding this show back from being great. There were a few moments where the animation wasn't just not-great, but bad.

If this were live action I would unquestionably put it above Wandavision and Falcon/ws I just think the story is way more interesting.

If it were live action it'd be up there with The Boys and The Umbrella Academy.

But I don't even mean it would be better live, just that it would be even up there with those two with actually good animation (and some better voice performance, though I think it has gotten considerably better in that department over time).

The HS drama stuff is the worst aspect of the show. If they got rid of it, it would go from a 6-7 rating range to an 8-9 rating range IMO.

Binge watched this last week. I enjoy it, agree with Amber comments. Can't get over the amount of talent they pulled for voice acting, thought it was neat the original super heroes all voiced from Walking Dead actors. Nice tip of the cap from the creator

I'm enjoying this show a lot. This is surprising for a few reasons.

1) 42 minutes is a long time for me to watch a cartoon. Archer and Rick&Morty have conditioned me to 25 minutes at a time.

2) I'm generally burned out on super hero movies and tv. Can this genre get any more saturated?

3) I started with Spider-Man comics, Superfriends, and Christopher Reeves in the mid 70s. I expected to grow out of it by now.

4) I didn't think I'd like one episode per week. But it's kind of nice.

awesome! i've enjoyed how refreshing this show is. good people are "mostly good" and even the "bad" people are still interesting. the clone twins are even enjoyable and not one-note, imo.

It's funny, seeing as the twins were in the opening scene of the pilot, and are basically our introduction to this world, I immediately thought, "I don't think this show is for me." It all just felt so hokey and Saturday-morning-cartoonish-ish. Now? They're two of my favorite characters, and yeah, so much more than what I was expecting.

All I know is that Robot promised them some kind of tech that I'm forgetting the specifics of, in exchange for growing a new body for him. Whatever the tech was, though, it turned out to be a lark. He basically duped the twins. I'm sure someone else here remembers the specifics of what he promised them...

I don't think they have done a good job really giving them any particular motivation or focus other than we are bad guys who want to do bad things.

The tech was basically a mind control collar

it was a collar that allowed you to control someone else.

edit: they were hoping to be able to control the immortal (i think that was his name) which is why they exhumed his corpse.

This is a damn good watch and I realize now it kind of would be insane to do some of the things they did if it wasn't a graphic cartoon. The gore would be off the charts even more than the boys.

Solid finale that even gave me the feels which is shocking from a cartoon.

I figured Omni-Man was going to try to take over since he told those aliens on their planet " Earth isn't yours to conquer" before he destroyed much of their home planet. It seems like some of them survived and will be ready for season 2.

This was a fun and violent show. The subway scene was pretty intense.
