Ready to do a massive purge. What have you kept all these years?
Mine is less than 20 as I have some LaserDisc concerts that are unavailable even on YouTube...

Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill. First CD I ever purchased.

Blu-rays and dvds, none of them. Kept every one. Not every movie streams anywhere, anytime, for no additional cost. Also, I never have to worry about bandwidth issues or buffering with them.

I don't use my CDs, but I guess my collection is not large enough to take up the space to want to toss. Granted, they are basically in a storage bin.

I recommend having your moving truck catch fire so you're spared from making these types of decisions. And you get paid $9/lb for them by insurance.

The last CD I bought was The White Stripes Icky Thump in 2007. A few weeks later, all my CDs were stolen.

I've kept all of mine under the bed in one of those big leather holders. Cant bring myself to throw it out even though I don't know the last time I listened to any of them.

I think the only physical CDs I've kept are the ones from the mid-90s Pink Floyd boxed set.

I'm keeping my 400+ CDs and 520 vinyls for my son. We play them each time he's home. Just finished taking price tickets off each album and placing plastic album covers for my entire Collection ( making a categorical record of every cd and album). I have a clock radio in the attic that plays my 8 tracks. Even have a lava lamp.

Keeping mine. Found a mixed tape of country songs I made in college the summer of '95. It was in terrible shape but brought back great memories.

How many years did your Pulse CD set blink? That damn thing blinked what seemed for ever.

Still have most of my CDs, but they're in a big slipcase album. Tossed the jewel cases years ago.

I bought the album when it came out in 1995, and I'm pretty sure it was still going through 1998 at least.

Does the Led Zeppelin box set from Columbia House count as 1 or 4 cd's ?

The bad news is even if you keep them in the best conditions at this age CD's and DVD's can get disc rot and become unplayable. Even your physical media isn't as forever as you think. If you haven't already rip them to high quality mp3's or lossless files.
