The man had all sorts of demons....

He did one of those Verzuz virtual concerts with Snoop late last year and he looked pretty sober. You can tell he was a little anxious because Snoop was smoking/drinking (LOL), but Snoop did a really good job of telling jokes and making him feel as comfortable as possible. It was crazy to see because he was openly talking about trying to stay clean, but it seemed like he was doing really good at the time. This sucks.

I remember seeing him tour in Houston waaaaaay back in the day. It was an odd lineup, DMX was the opener then GodSmack then Limp Bizkit. Honestly a pretty great show but also kind of funny. Most were there for the other two bands. When DMX came out and started rapping he kept holding the mic up to the crowd so we presumably would finish the line. Well, since most of the crowd wasn't there for him, well, we didn't know the lyrics. Each time he did it was just crickets. That being said, he ****ing killed it and won over the crowd quickly.

Nothing got me more fired up to hit the town in college than listening to "Ruff Ryder's Anthem". I saw an announcement from local Dallas icon DJ EZ Eddie D just two weeks ago that he was going to be hosting a DMX show there in May. RIP.
