Exactly!

Granted, Nolan wasn't quite the legend he is now, but by then he had still directed…

- Memento
- The Prestige
- Batman Begins
- The Dark Knight

... with TDK obviously being a phenomenon, and Nolan would have approached Smith in the immediate wake of that movie.

So insane.

Not to mention, Smith turned down Django Unchained as well, a couple years later.

Chatgpt tells me that it was Legends of the Fall.

Does anyone have any insight as to what was changed and made him so insistent in keeping the finale for Seven?

Good job on Pitt for insisting for the finale of Seven. It would not be nearly as impactful if he embodied Wrath when it was discovered that his dog's heads were "in the box".

Legends of the Fall is the 2nd worse Brad Pitt movie I've watched in order to advance along the bases with a girl.

And the specialist won that month they overlapped the most. Seriously. You will also see a whole bunch of other good movies that had BO revenue that month including The Client, Jurassic Park, Natural Born Killers, True Lies, Clerks and Hoop Dreams.
