Anyone else watch this series that just completed its first run last week?
It's a pretty easy consumption of eight ~25min episodes, with a compact but great cast including Cristin Milioti (who is quickly racking up some great performances with the Star Trek episode of Dark Mirror and Palm Springs under her belt) and Ray Romona in a super weird but terribly charming role as her dad. Billy Magnusson also brings his unique mix of handsome and "there's something weird about him" that shouldn't work but just does.
The story itself is this dark comedy that, perhaps because of the sub-30 minute, has this satisfying candy like quality to it (the candy might be a mix of jelly bellies, nasty popcorn flavor and all).
It's not great, but it, to me at least, was enjoyable. Not that it is exactly like them, but watching it satisfied me in the same way as some of those early Netflix shows did (like Love and Flaked) - nothing crazy, nothing you'd tell all your friends about, but just the right thing to watch before going to sleep.
