Was listening to New York Groove and it got me thinking that Ace's solo album was about the only one that had any decent songs on it. I barely remember any of Gene's songs. And as for Paul and Peter, I only owned those albums so I could have the complete 4-album ensemble for my bedroom wall in '78.

Ace's album is the only one I have really heard songs from so it seems to win by default.

I remember Gene's album had When You Wish Upon a Star on it. Buying these for the album covers instead of the music was definitely the way to go.

Ace's was hands down the best. The others just phoned it in.

Wow, I didn't even know this was a thing. So they all put out solo albums, but under their Kiss character/moniker? Were they all at the same time?

I knew ace had a solo album, but I thought it was because he left.

Yep, all four were released in September 1978. These came out after Love Gun and before Dynasty, right about the time they seemed to have lost their appeal for many of us. But hey, they came out with this masterpiece at the time.........
