How long do you want to ignore this user?
I was really skeptical going into this read. I really had no clue what it was about but it was rated high on the sci fi section. Started reading and I almost put it down for good. This didn't seem like my kind of book. Not sci fi enough. Then a couple of weeks later I decided to give it a try again. Got through the major event where she gets to the library.....THEN I finally understood what it was about and I was friggin hooked! I have always thought these kinds of things in my head too. What my life would be like if I had made one small or big different choice earlier in my life?? I'll leave it at....by the end of this book, I knew how it would end but I still couldn't wait to get there and was sad it ended. This could easily be made into a series, a more modern and personal Quantum Leap. One of my favorite books of 2020

Glad to hear it got better, I bailed once she was getting the explanation from the librarian. It felt waaay to much like one of those business books an executive or MBA-prof writes that is the most direct, on-the-nose allegory.

In a way it is but the story is done so well after she meets the librarian. Give it another shot and get past that point.

It might also help to note that the author was suffering through severe depression when he wrote this so you can feel his pain.

Just finished this after clicking on your thread yesterday. I really liked it, and could easily see someone picking up the screen rights for it. It was a bit predictable, but still impressive.
