There is someone channel that plays two episodes of Barney Miller every night at 11:00. While I was only 8 when it was cancelled, I remember watching it with my grandfather who was also a LEO. What a great show. Every night when I watch it, it reminds me of him.

Absolutely loved that show. My dad and I still talk about some of the characters. Especially Inspector Lugar.

Remember watching this as a kid. Great characters - Wojo, Fish, etc.

Looks like the Crackle app/service has a couple of seasons.

Fish and Dietrich are my favorite characters. As someone else said, the theme song is awesome. Love seeing the skyline of NYC back then.

I don't see why it's so hard to pronounce Wojciehowicz. It sounds just like it's spelled.

My grandfather loved Barney Miller. Such good memories as a kid watching it with him, laughing at something I thought was funny, then turning to him to see him dozing off in his chair. Damn good and underrated for its time

I liked the theme songs for all the 70s shows that were still running on UHF in the 80s.

I've got the exact same memories with my grandfather. Good times and great memories.

Was out of town this weekend and forgot to bring my laptop. I wound up watching a lot of TV and saw Barney Miller for the first time Thursday night. Saw six episodes during the trip and thought they were outstanding. Downloading the series now and am going to starting watching the episodes in order.

The folks from Poth, Kosciusko, Panna Maria & Cestohowa agree wholeheartedly.

Barney Miller was indeed a great show.

Barney Miller had fabulous humor. They brought in those old Vaudeville actors from New York area who understood how to make people laugh.

I watched this show as a kid and I swear Abe Vigoda was 70 years old when he was on the show but he must have actually only been 50 or so. He just had that old man look to him.

I was just thinking about that show yesterday. During the summer it seemed like those shows were always on some channel. CHiPs, Rockford files, Barney Miller. Great intros.

He was born to look old. He looked old in The Godfather.
Then 20 years later he shows up in something like Good Burger or some Conan appearance and I was always surprised he was alive

Funny this came up. I had Firefly on while doing housework and my husband does a Rick Dalton point and spots Ron Glass.

Most of the actors went on to do minor parts however Inspector Frank Lugar, James Gregory seemed to be in quite a few movies before the show.

I watched a couple of episodes lately.

Do they film a scene somewhere else? Everything happens in the Detective room; I don't see a scene anywhere else.

Does anywhere like this? Even plays do scene changes.

I haven't seen the show in years, last watched it during its original run in the 70s, but I recall some scenes at Barney Miller's house.

Between 8/15 and 8/31 I watched all 170 episodes of the show. It was outstanding.

There are 13 episodes that have scenes outside of the squad room/Barney's office. The original idea was that it would be about Barney's life (home and office), but the 12th Precinct became the star of the show pretty early on.

I've never seen that show or Taxi. It just wasn't on in our house.

Wasn't on in our house either. I had never seen it until I found myself at the hotel in Bryan, and I'd forgotten my laptop. I came across it channel surfing. If you have DirecTV (I don't), it's on fetv.

Once I got back from Texas, I downloaded the eight seasons via a torrent and got to work watching them.

I've seen a handful of Taxi episodes, and they didn't do anything for me.

Probably the funniest bit there ever was on Barney Miller. I can't believe a television network let this air in 1976.
