Don't see anything on this one and perhaps I know why.

I watched it before reading all the reviews.

What a disaster.

Terrible. They should feel bad for making it. I know I feel bad for watching it.

I was skeptical that they could turn that book into a worthwhile movie. It's usually a pretty big challenge to adapt a book where most of the drama takes place inside the main character's head.

I read the book about a month ago and thought it was....fine. I'll watch the movie just bc I'm always curious how directors choose to bring literature to life (and I like Amy Adams), but I'm not expecting it to be anything special.

How could a movie with a redhead combo of Amy Adams and Julianne Moore be so unsatisfying? Unfortunate.

I dont understand how they could so completely blow a movie with Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Wyatt Russell and Gary Oldman. The first 80% of the movie I battled through because I thought I could see where it was going and was generally curious. The last 20% was almost a different movie... in a very bad way.

I thought all of the bizarre acting for a while was related to her being crazy. Julianne Moore was a bit off, the kid was off, Gary Oldman was off. But no
  • The tenant living in her basement seemingly knew everything that was going on, but never wanted to speak up when the cops were there? He was sleeping with (or comforting?) Julianne Moore and knew their entire family history, but never said anything.
  • The female cop was so rude and aggressive for no reason. Also, they just allowed Gary Oldman to march in and yell at her anytime they all got together. Strange police scenes.
  • I can't believe the cat didnt die

I thought this was just a remake of the Alfred Hitchcock thriller Rear Window with a chick as the lead, is it something different?

Wish I would have read the reviews before watching. Terrible movie. Actually it started out okay and I was waiting for some awesome twist that would explain everything instead that ending was just horrible and actually made the first part of the movie just ridiculous. Plus no Amy Adams nude or semi nude scene was a major let down.

No its not. I would say the best descriptor would be "inspired by" Rear Window. Disturbia would be more of an actual remake.

Also Disturbia is 10x the movie that this is.

Yes. Those scenes were so bizarre it made me think maybe she was imagining them. Just a really ****ty cheap hitchcock rip off.
