That's crazy. So I guess just individual days down the road?
That's what I'm interested in anyway.

I was incredibly disappointed seeing them live.

I thought for sure that Nine Inch Nails was going to headline.

They are one of the few large arena level rock bands have never been to ACL, they fit the rock band mold that ACL likes to headline with, and they are doing Louder than Life and Riot Fest the weekends before ACL and wide open schedule wise both weekends.

ACL has realized that they don't have to roll out high-end acts anymore. Heck, they could have ditched the headliners for this year and still sold out.

Sorry to hear that. I've seen them like 4 times and loved every show.

They didn't the first few years, but the quality was high beyond the headliners which isn't the case anymore.

Last ACL, I got to see Tyler Childers, The Racounters, and G&R back-to-back-to-back. Seeing Childers, Jack White and gang, and then Slash all the same evening was outstanding.

Great lineup. But opinions vary I guess.

Very nice trio, indeed, but i meant beyond the headliners/more popular artists which all those are. Seems that the lineups have been top-heavy for a while, but that's what sells tickets. This year's is probably the worst I've seen especially compared to Bonnaroo's.

ACL is celebrating it's 20th anniversary, so George headlining is not only a very unique booking, but a popular one. Weekend passes completely sold out within 4 hours of going on sale.

Go look at other festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Gov Ball, and you will see the headliner pool is very small this time. Billie is a weird booking to me since she was there in 2019, so I will agree with that one. The mid and undercards are very similar to Bottlerock and Lollapalooza.

I will be there both weekends as usual, also at Welcome to Rockville all 4 days and Outside Lands. I have to skip Lolla for the first time since I started going since their lineup is not my thing. Just waiting on the Music Midtown one to see what they get.

No, it's just cool on here to act like the lineup blows and is "the worst ever".

Lol. It's an absolutely laughable lineup of crappy pop and no names. Country headliner is the only thing saving it.

Nicks, Miley, and Eilish cover the "independent, strong female" types.

You could say that 2021 has 2 legacy headliners just like 2019 and 2018 did, just not the kind people were expecting. Stevie Nicks fills that rock legacy slot, with George Strait being another legacy headliner but he happens to be country. I feel like the last time they had a country performer was Kacey Musgraves in 2019 and she performed at 6 pm, the same thing with Willie Nelson back in 2016 (his crowd was massive though). So Nicks/Straits is good but to some, but if you were hoping for rock names it is not as strong as McCartney/Metallica or GNR/The Cure.

Miley Cyrus has a strong fanbase and played arenas, she is good enough for a headlining slot at Honda stage. I personally don't care for Rufus du Sol or Dababy so I'll for sure skip those, assuming they close out Honda.

I do like indie/alt so some of the names that got my attention are Black Pumas, St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, Phoebe Bridgers, Bleachers, Finneas, Surfaces (they went to A&M!), Dayglow (also from TX and his latest album is good), Tate McRae, White Reaper, Gracie Abrams, Hinds, The Hu, Holly Humberstone, and Claud.

There is enough for me to make it a good 3-day weekend both weekends. A lot of festivals had a hard time booking international acts this year and you can see it on their lineups, which is why AEG decided to not bother with a fall Coachella and will focus in their April event.

The indie Alt lineup is the only reason I'm excited about it. KennyHoopla is probably the person I'm most excited to see.

When the 2021 football schedule was first announced, I realized that ACL would happen when we have back to back home games on 10/2 and 10/9. 2013 was the first time ACL expanded to two weekends, and we have never had home games on both weekends of ACL. This will be the first time that has ever happened.

Weekend 1: Home game against Mississippi State on 10/2
Weekend 2: home game against Alabama on 10/9

I have season tickets for Texas A&M football games at Kyle Field. I will take 10/8 off and go to ACL on that day only.

Yes, they will have single day passes for sale on Tuesday.

Because we have home games against Mississippi State on 10/2 and Alabama on 10/9, I will get a single-day pass for 10/8.

I'm mainly interested in Greta Van Fleet to take my daughter. So hopefully they will be part of the Friday lineup.

It really is the worst ever and I don't mean to sound cool as I chime in. Went to the first 3 that were eclectic as all get out plus jamband heavy. Shortly after that they disbanded jambands entirely plus the late night post shows it became a commercialized trash bag.

Phish, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Pearl Jam etc were huge gets but the thing has evolved into an EDM festival headlined by George Strait? I love George and dance music but when you have Miley Cyrus and Megan Thee Stalion way up there on the card then that's trouble.

Side note: Ben Harper playing "Temporary Remedy" with Robert Randolph is top 5 all time concert moment for me. ACL And then Modest Mouse was amazing at Stubb's on he heels of "Good News For People Who Love Bad News" was a great show to the poster that said Modest Mouse isn't good live. Then Particle and olospo at The Vibe.
