Badfinger were a British rock band formed in Wales, who were active from the 1960s to the 1980s. They were the first group signed by the Beatles' Apple label in 1968. That, in my opinion, is why they sound so much like the Fab Four.

Keith Moon came up with the band name Led Zeppelin which Jimmy Page later used for his own band.

Plant, Page, Bonham, Jones first played together on stage as The New Yardbirds in Denmark.

Similar to:
Metallica came from Ulrich's friend Ron Quintana, who was brainstorming names for a fanzine and was considering MetalMania or Metallica. Lars wanted Metallica for his band, so he suggested Quintana use MetalMania for the fanzine.

MIdnight Train to Georgia was originally called Midnight Train to Houston, but Whitney Houston's mother was going to record it so they changed the name. Then the older Houston dropped out and was replaced by the amazing Gladys Knight.
