I watched Cold Pursuit the other day and was oddly entertained.

I think he's a good action star with an iconic voice. It's hard to beat Taken. Rob Roy is great. He can do humor. Probably not the best pick for genuine emotions besides revenge fury though.

I watched a Hollywood fencing documentary a few years ago and the biggest sword fighting choreographer in the industry said Neeson was the most gifted and natural athlete he'd ever worked with. He was also an amateur boxing champ in England, so yea, he's a badass.

I kind of agree. He was fantastic in Basketball Diaries, but for the most part he is always "Leo being ___."
Like how Tom Hanks is always "Tom Hanks being a soldier" or "Tom Hanks being mentally challenged."

Probably depends what you've seen him in.

He has a lot of personality and charm in Crazy Stupid Love, Nice Guys, La La Land, Big Short, Ides of March.

He is pretty bland in Drive, Blade Runner and First Man.

I know everyone loves him, but the guy plays the same character in every movie. Creed movies, Black Panther, Without Remorse, etc.. I like the guy, but it's always the same.
