Didn't see a thread for Conan's last show, so thought I would. Has anyone been watching his last week of shows? Many of his best guests and his last show is the 24th of June.

I haven't been following much on TBS, but it is sad to think Conan will no longer be doing his late night shows. Always was my favorite and remember being young, watching Late Night. Honestly one of the funniest people on the planet, to me, and have always appreciated him.

His remotes were always my favorite parts. His ability to just be spontaneously funny is something no other current late night host even comes close to. I also love this pieces just around the office with his employees. Unlike Ellen who acts nice but is apparently a horrible person, Conan acts like a jerk with his employees but is apparently extremely generous.

I could literally watch hours of Conan jackassing around with his employees:

I've fallen in love with his podcast over the last 6 months or so. When I have insomnia, I listen to him and Paul Rudd - not that it makes me fall asleep but it doesn't stress me out that I am staying awake.

Him, Ice Cube, and Kevin Hart in an Uber is one of my favorite things, and anything when Conan plays video games.

Does it really count as his last show when he's just going to HBO?

Anything and everything involving Conan and Jordan Schlansky is gold.

Yep, Jordan Schlansky episodes are fantastic. Someone needs to edit them all back to back, and I would watch it at least once a month.

Honestly, I had just finished watching that before creating this thread. Once he came out, my inner monologue was, "at this point, there is no way they can surprise me with his ridiculous movie clip."

Admittedly, they got me with that build-up. I bought it hook, line and sinker until the clip started to roll.

Here. I was legit expecting the SNL dress rehearsal footage. I figured he'd play the usual clip later.

I knew the SNL stuff was building up to the Mac and Me clip.

I honestly bought that the second clip would be that Baby Geniuses clip.

Here it is if you're interested, btw.

finally, a clip from Baby Geniuses. A movie I've only thought of due to 2 things, the Conan clip above and ac04's epic laserdics thread

Jordan has the sweetest job. Works for Conan and does whatever he wants.

He is also worth north of $20 million so not a bad gig.

He should go write for the Simpsons again, bring it back to the season 3 to 9 glory days.

Supposedly a new show on HBO Max but it will not follow a traditional talk show format.

Anything to do with Jordan Schlansky and his love of Italy is must watch TV for me. I know Conan loves to bust Jordan's balls for comedic purposes but I remember once reading that Jordan is actually known for being a very tenacious producer and made his reputation producing Triumph's remotes where he basically refused to take no for an answer when getting access to the Westminster dog show.

It's gonna be a travel show, which honestly is perfect for Conan.

His Conan Without Borders series has been absolutely fantastic, especially when they involve Jordan Schlansky. I'm just hoping he continues to be involved.

Sidenote: I really can't stand the current batch of late night hosts, especially Fallon and Corden. Their ridiculously over-the-top personas and fakeness is so grating that I can hardly stand to watch clips of them. Not to mention constantly cutting off their guests. Similar for Kimmel but a little less so.

Seth Meyers is mostly fine, but he's kinda dry and just not very funny most of the time.

On the other hand, Conan was by far the best host on late night tv. The perfect blend of being a good interviewer, funny, and bantering with the guests without getting in their way or constantly interrupting.

Sucks we won't get his interviews anymore, but honestly Conan's forte since starting on TBS has definitely been his travel shows and remotes.

Plus, his podcast will pretty much cover that ground, and much better. Those have been great so far.

So overall I think this is a great move for him.

Agree for the most part. Conan was the last of the guys I grew up watching (Leno, Letterman, etc.) to hang it up and this makes me sad. Late night talk shows just aren't what they were anymore, for a myriad of reasons. When I was growing up it was basically the only thing on basic cable worth watching at 10:30pm. Now they are just seeming like a relic of the past.

Can't stand Colbert (really, it's just a DNC political commentary show at this point) or Kimmel (same thing).

Fallon I can appreciate in that he's taken The Tonight Show in more of a variety-type show direction and keeps it light. I think it works a lot of the time. Some of his segments are hilarious.

Corden is hit and miss. He's had some really good segments and some really misguided political commentaries.

Conan is just genuinely funny and a great interviewer. Still mad at Leno and NBC for screwing him.

According to Triumph/Robert Smigel, Jordan pulled out the tricks that often are used on kids shows and sitcoms as a way to get by security...fake credentials and walking with purpose.

Jordan printed up fake NBC identification because we couldn't go with our own Late Night credentials. So Jordan printed up fake NBC identification, which he justified in his Jordan way, 'Well, given we work for NBC, I don't consider it any manner of trickery.' He scoped out the dog show and told us to go and say we're NBC, but to go through the back entrance. He found a loading dock and told everyone to go through the loading dock and proceed with confidence and a sense of purpose. So we walked up this ramp with out laminated credentials.

"So we're in there and doing our thing and we lasted a fairly long time. But Jordan never lost sight of the fact that we'd probably be thrown out. So we told the cameraman that, no matter what happens, keep shooting. And sure enough, Triumph finally offended a dog groomer. We got ejected. And then Jordan is bull****ting the person who is trying to throw us out saying, 'But I spoke to this so and so.' And he had, but that was the person who said we couldn't come. In a very Jordan way, he was like, 'Well, technically I feel justified in my statement. I wasn't lying.'

I understand not liking his personality... but I don't think Fallon is fake at all. I think that's genuinely him and he's just that happy all the time.

I'm excited about it. They are really trying to make Bourdain magic over and over, but this will be a good substitute.

I saw Ramsey got a travel show and it was awful.

Conan is best on his remotes, so I am excited to see what he does with HBO.

For me, Conan will always be the greatest. Conan, Fergusson, and Letterman were the talk show hosts I actually liked.

Everyone else, now, sucks. I do agree that Fallon is the least of the suck, but I just don't find him funny at all. I have never found Jimmy Fallon to be funny, and sketches he was on when on SNL were funny, DESPITE Fallon.
